As we head into the festive season I would like to take this opportunity to wish the KWS Rugby Family a wonderful Christmas and brilliant new year. We have much planned for next season for both boys and girls Rugby and we can't wait to rip in.
Save the Date
Next season we will be having a season launch before our first home game. This will be an amazing event and will be held as a traditional Rugby Luncheon with an exciting guest speaker (watch this space). This will take place on Friday 5th May at the Orange Ex-Services Club. Information on purchasing tickets will be distributed in the new year.
Fitness Results
Throughout the back end of Term 3 and through Term 4 we have had a group of very committed young men working hard on physically preparing for a successful 2023 season. Many of the young men have been doing the extra training on top of their Summer Sport commitments. Our final fitness testing of the year saw tremendous improvement across the squad and the boys should be proud of the start they have made. Of particular note were the following boys who excelled in the Yo Yo fitness Test;
Best Forwards - Harry Nutall & Oscar Cleary (Level 17.8) and Ben Smith and Will Deshon (Level 17.4). Most improved Forward was Ben Smith who improved by 11 Levels.
Best Backs - Harry Dymock (Level 19.3), Oscar Chandler-Sullivan (Level 19.2) and Sam Fabar (Level 18.8). Most improved Back was Dudley Shepherd who improved by 10 levels.
These score are well ahead of where we were in March this year and many of our squad are now on a par with the NSW Rugby Generation Blue minimum fitness standards. Great work men.
